Asus Eee PC 1001P-MU17 10.1-Inch Netbook Pros:

• It is more than adequate for most computing tasks short of video editing.
• The keyboard is great. It is 92-93% of a regular-sized keyboard
• The Super Hybrid Engine feature is great. It seems to me that is exclusive to Asus.
• The  Battery — Easily lasts at least nine hours, sometimes more if I have it in Power Saver mode.
• The LCD –This one comes with the matte LCD style. I thought it would be less sharper or poorer viewing angles, but it seems sharp enough for me.
• No fingerprints. Seriously, the finish on this thing attracts very few fingerprints. The finish is a lot better than the gloss finish on most netbooks. I really like design of this netbook.
• Quiet — Even on high performance the fan is really quiet.
• Windows 7 — I came from XP to this 7 starter, and I have no complaints. It is sleek, simple, and intuitive. I feel no need to upgrade to Home Premium.

Cons:

• Fn numeric keys are hard to use
• touch pad buttons are always stiff

So, in closing, you get what you pay for. It’s met our expectations, and knowing what we know, we’d buy this again. Good value, great battery life, light and easy to carry, does the job we wanted it to.
